Within the Temaikén Zoological Park Project developed by Skanska, the Company also performed the construction of six plants for the treatment of freshwater and saltwater. The objective of each of these plants is to maintain the quality of water required by animal species that inhabit that environment. In order to treat water, the different plants use equipment which allows to eliminate solid particles, disinfect, inactivate viruses, decolorize water, control microorganisms and eliminate toxic compounds for animals, among other functions.
