Skanska performed the detailed
engineering and the construction of two seed cells and
one pellet cell. Seed cells, which have a capacity to
store 300,000 tons , have a size of 50 x 150 mts each
and a top height of 28 mts. Within them, the equipment
of the Company dug out 10 mt deep holes and lined them
with concrete plates. The dimensions of the pellet cell,
having a 60,000 ton storage capacity, are 50 x 120 mts
and 28 mts high. All of the cells were connected among
themselves by tunnels with conveyor belts for material
in order that they reach the loading port.
In addition, Skanska built a cistern , six circular
silos made of concrete and having a height to 13 meters
and a diameter of 11 meters as well as two circular
20-diameter silos for the storage of grain.
The Company also performed five 9.20-deep pits and 49-meter
high towers for grain lifting chain pumps. |
