Skanska was responsible for the enlargement of the 132 kV substation and the construction of the new 500 kV substation, needed to permit the interconnection at 500 kV between Agua del Cajón Thermoelectric Power Plant and the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI).
The 132 kV yard was enlarged to allow the connection of the 300 MVA and 500 /132/33 kV transformers, and the elevating transformer of the combined cycle turbo-steam generator.
