Ericsson signed a turnkey contract with TCP (Telefónica Comunicaciones Personales S.A.) for providing a system of cellular telecommunications for the new PCS band.. To this end, Skanska was appointed to carry out the preparation of an infrastructure for 709 stations for cellular telephone transmission, including engineering, supply of materials, civil works and erection at each site of the cellular network. Construction included the erection of towers, masts, mono-poles and antennae on roofs.
