The Camisea Upstream EPC1 Project was thought of as a useful alternative to reduce the deficit in the trade balance for hydrocarbons in Peru, substituting imports, mainly of diesel and GLP, and fostering exports (excessive GLP, gasoline).
To this end, Skanska executed the Camisea Project in the Peruvian Amazonic Jungle during a 24 month period, which consisted in the development of a gas treatment plant capable of extracting liquids from natural gas and conditioning it so that it be transported. Among the services performed , we can highlight those related to engineering, procurement and logistics, construction and start-up of the project and maintenance of the plant which has a capacity for 11.32 million m2 per day.
